QUAD 4 HEAT SHRINK CABLE JOINT KIT SYSTEM FOR BOREHOLE PUMPS

Three kits are available – for 1.5 to 6mm², 10 to 16mm² & 25mm² Power Cables

Specifically designed by Proquip for use in borehole pump installation, the QUAD4 submersible joint kit with its four levels of sealing will ensure a reliable joint of the highest integrity that will not fail you. Once completed – within 10 minutes or so – it’s ready for installation with no need for overnight curing. 100m down borehole is not the place to compromise on quality of cost. This is established product with long term proven success.

The four components that make up the system are heat shrink butt connectors, resin hot melt adhesive, PVC tape with rubber based adhesive, polyolefin heat shrink tubing.

Features

1 : Crimps

Heat Shrink Splice Connectors protect against the most challenging environments, with excellent moisture protection. When properly crimped and shrunk the adhesive lined heat shrink provides a seal resistant to water, and other contaminants, and provides excellent abrasion and strain resistance. The translucent tubing allows visual inspection, ensuring that cables are inserted safely and correctly.

2 : Mastic

Solvent free rubber resin based hot melt adhesive on a roll.  A non-hardening pressure sensitive adhesive with excellent bond strength. Forms a strong waterproof bond.

3 : PVC Tape

Self Adhesive Soft PVC Tape coated with a rubber based adhesive.  Excellent conformability for splicing and wrapping electrical joints.

4 : Heat Shrink Tube

Medium wall shrink tube with adhesive for cables up to 1kV
